Trends:  Skinny Jeans, Facebook, Twitter, Yoga pants, Nike, Adidas, Snowmobiling, Call of Duty, Cigarettes, Kanye West Glasses, Red Bull crash Ice, Video Games.

Fads: Nickleback, Twilight, Planking, Billy Ray Cyrus, Rubber Bands on your wrists.

Icons: Wayne Gretzky, Don Cherry, Maple Leafs, Beaver, Beer etc.

I think that Trends are the newest style in the world, it's what people want to wear, show off, trends are "In". Trends can be clothing brands, companies, games, sports, also websites. I think that Fads are something that was once popular but dies because of reasons like something better came out. it just becomes old, or it becomes too boring. Examples of Fads would be hairstyles, the way you wear your clothes, also old used up celebrities. I think Icons are when everyone knows about them, it would maybe be something they did, if they were a celebrity and they died, or if they started a new trend or made something very popular.

Question: Why are mass media important to you?

I think mass media is important to not only me, but for everyone. It's important to everyone because it gives infromation and it keeps everyone "up to date", it feels like you can connect with the famous people, also media can connect you to the world! News, magazines, internet, etc. there is no stopping media, it will keep growing and growing. (:
